    I would love for someone to look at my code and see if I did the Nutrition section right or if there was a better way of doing it. I don't know Grid, and by the time I reached that section I didn't want to spend time learning it at that moment😣. Also, if I am using the same size font and such as the sample, how come my solution ends up being so much bigger than the sample?

    For the blog preview card I had the background, a container, and then the card inside the container. For this project I just had the background and my design was the container and it worked. How come they both worked? I am still not understanding the basic set up on the page. I don't know how else to explain it.

    I would really love someone to explain why we need to create our design INSIDE a container rather than the design BEING the container. I'm very confused about that and feel that if I understood it then I would be able to understand and visualize the process, rather than wondering why I am doing what I'm doing. There is ALOT I understand, but there is no doubt I need to understand that in order to be successful at web design. Does this make sense?

  • QR Code Challenge using HTML and CSS

    I would like help with a few things if anyone would be kind enough: 1) Did I use the right code to center my divs? If not what was I suppose to do? 2) I know why I lost the top left and top right border radiuses, but I tried everything I could to get them back, to no avail. How could I have avoided that or at least compensated for it? 3) I tried using the Figma file but it didn't work when I uploaded it to Figma, so much of the design was guesswork. I don't understand why my fonts (which were not guesswork) did not line up like the example and the h1 700 font-weight doesn't look the same as the example. Thank you for your kindness in helping me!

    What are you most proud of, and what would you do differently next time?

    This was my first project so I had to figure out everything regarding how it all works at frontend mentor. I'm really happy to have managed to create a solution that is really close to the task. The site was built mobile-first and I only used a couple of media queries and for the first time BEM notation.

    What challenges did you encounter, and how did you overcome them?

    I had the most struggle to learn how Frontend Mentor works - the whole process of writing notes, creating a live site (I'm proud of that - I created a subdomain and uploaded the files to my host) and now submitting the solution. I did not struggle so much with the html,.. though it was my first time doing it all by myself.

    What specific areas of your project would you like help with?

    I'd appreciate any help or suggestion on scss,..I only created a css file.

    Hello @SamoPinter! I can't believe this is your first project! You are far more advanced than I am. I know nothing about #react, I'm just learning about ::before and ::after, I've never used @media, and I have no idea what BEM notation is, but I would like to say that your project came out nearly identical as the sample project and I am jealous!! LOL. Mine came out so much bigger. Clearly I am doing something wrong. Keep up the great work!!!

    What are you most proud of, and what would you do differently next time?

    I am proud that I am able to use hovering created an almost similar to the given preview image. I want to improve my html tags creation so that my code will look more interesting.

    What challenges did you encounter, and how did you overcome them?

    I struggle to solve the hovering of links. I first do the unordered list tag together with list items then anchor tag. I'm having a problem because although the the list item turned green when hover, the link stays as colored white instead of black. I remove the ul and li tag and leave only tag and it work.

    What specific areas of your project would you like help with?

    My code are free of factoring. I want others to say something on my work so that I can improve as a developer.

    Hi Joey, I didn't think of using a list tag for the links. I did the same thing you did, only my code looks more confusing for the hover. I'd like to say how organized, neat and straightforward your code is! It's nice, clean code, and I admire that! I'm very new and am just learning. I am loving doing these challenges! Great work on your part!

    Hi Sophia. This looks great! It's so perfect. I've never used #react so i can't really comment on it and I'm brand new at all this anyway, but I just wanted to say what a great job you did, and how nice and neat and easy to read your code is!

    What challenges did you encounter, and how did you overcome them?

    Making the component appear at the center of the screen.

    I did not distinguish between desktop and mobile cases, as it looked ok on both devices without any specific styles. I probably missed some requirements.

    What specific areas of your project would you like help with?

    position and display styles are confusing.

    good practice on using media query for handling different screen sizes.

    Hello @toshirokubota! Great job with the challenge! I'm super new at this so I don't feel I can give you any pointers or that I should even be commenting on your code accept to say what a good job you have done! I'm not familiar with media query so I can't comment on that, and my solution was centered horizontally but not vertically so I cannot help you with centering either! I can say that your solution looks far better than mine, so keep yp the great work!
