Hi, em! 👋
Looks like you uploaded a solution to the "Manage landing page" challenge! 😅
Still looks nice, though! 😉
Marked as helpful0@emestabilloPosted over 3 years ago@ApplePieGiraffe Hey APG!!! 👋🏼 I thought this was a private submission 😂 Just testing stuff out lol

lol 😂
Is everything working okay, though? Like, was that a private solution that wasn't supposed to show up in my notifications feed? 😅
Just checking! 😉
0@emestabilloPosted over 3 years ago@ApplePieGiraffe Yes haha works just fine but shouldn't update followers lol. I suppose we should tag Matt. This may be a bug 😄
0@mattstuddertPosted over 3 years ago@emestabillo, doh! Sorry about that, Em! 😅 APG messaged Mike and me about this. We overlooked not notifying followers when a private solution is submitted!
We've fixed that now. Notifications for replies, mentions, comments, upvotes & helpful comments will still show up if a solution is private. This is so that if someone keeps a solution private but shares it with others, they'll still get useful notifications when people comment, etc. But notifications won't appear for followers when a private solution is submitted 🙂
P.S. if you both got two email notifications about this message, it's because I accidentally replied while using a test account. It's turning into one of those days! 🙃
Marked as helpful2@emestabilloPosted over 3 years ago@mattstuddert Thanks for the fix, Matt! Glad this bug got squashed 😂 For those who got the notification before the fix, can they still see the page if they click through the link? And let’s say I make the solution public in the future, are followers notified too? Will we see how many followers/following a user has? Not expecting any answers right now, I’m just curious lol. I know you’ve been really busy. Thanks again for fixing the bug and the private solution feature!! 🎉
0@mattstuddertPosted over 3 years ago@emestabillo, no problem! It's something we should have picked up during testing! 😬
The notifications for anyone that follows you will now have disappeared. If you were to make the solution public in the future, your followers would all be notified when you update your solution. Follower/following numbers will be kept private. They're helpful to know and manage but can be pretty toxic when made public and can lead to people trying to inflate their follower counts for the wrong reasons, as you see on Twitter. We'll be adding them when we add the upcoming Dashboard page. You'll be able to see everyone you're following and who's following you.
I hope that helps! 🙂
