What are you most proud of, and what would you do differently next time?

I took a mobile-first workflow using a grid container as the testimonials section, this was useful and convenient because for larger screens I only have to change the order of the grid items (each testimony) using grid-column and grid-row properties. Also I took the approach of declaring custom properties (For the colors) local to each grid-item, which was useful because I did not have to repeat some properties.

What challenges did you encounter, and how did you overcome them?

I did not encounter any important challenge because I have already used these techniques in previous projects. (mobile-first workflow, CSS Grid, custom properties)

What specific areas of your project would you like help with?

I think this project is very similar to the design.

I think the way to approach the project is great, I used CSS Grid to layout the cards section and media queries to change from 1-column to 3-column layout for larger screens, this allows me to use grid-row and grid-column properties to change the order of some grid items.

What challenges did you encounter, and how did you overcome them?

I found some challenges, but related to the tool (Astro) but not the design. This is because I just completed the Astro tutorial and I am not very related with Astro, some challenges:

    • Display local images
    • Display the top border color for the cards
    • CSS styles that were not being applied even though they were declared.

To overcome them I have to go to the documentation.

I think the way to approach the challenge is good, I mean that the mobile-first workflow helps a lot of in gradually adding just the necessary styles and preventing it from becoming a huge css file. For the next time I will try to declare more utilities classes because I think they are useful for larger projects.

What challenges did you encounter, and how did you overcome them?

The naming of the classes for HTML tags is always a problem for me, because I feel like I need to return to HTML file a lot of times just to remember the names, so I just declared the names based of what I see on the card.

I think that I need help on the images, because the document is always loading both, the desktop and the mobile images, I just declare a media query to display the desktop image and hide the mobile image on larger screens, but I don't think this is the right approach.
