I haven't completed the input design: input border change to red when alert on. What is the best idea for this problem? I have tried using class 'alert' like when turn on alert text but it's quite redundant.

I'm not sure my scss code is optimal. I think it quite complicated because the way I do is trying then changing until it work but don't really understand how it worked. I hope to your advice about this problem.
