i couldn't get the email validation text box to work without javascript. it's supposed to show "check your email please" when the input is invalid. please let me know if you know how to achieve this using only html and css. thank you!

What are you most proud of, and what would you do differently next time?

both pages are responsive without apparent bugs. figured out the grid in the main section and made it responsive at all screen sizes. figured out the hero desktop design and the final look is very similar

the grid in the main section was confusing. i spent a long time trying out different column and row sizes to make it work at all screen sizes. it was a little confusing bc all images are differently sized and sometimes when you adjust screen sizes gaps appear around the image.

the desktop hero design (the black and white inversion) was hard too. i never did anything like that before so took some time to figure it out.

i used mainly grid for the entire layout

it was hard to get the mobile hero image display exactly like the design. when i set the image's max width to be 100%, it was smaller than the design, so i tried setting a negative left and right margin to stretch the image but only the negative left margin worked and pulled the image left, the right negative margin did not work when i checked the dev tool. in the end i had to set the max width to be above 100% to make it look like the design. could anyone let me know why the negative right margin wouldn't work but the left one would?

this is my first challenge and i built everything out myself! happy about that. i don't see any obvious bugs but if you see any please lmk :)

i had some trouble with grid at first. i'm very new at this and grid is a lil hard for me. the fact that i needed to make a few grid lines visible with the correct spacing was a bit confusing but i'm glad i figured it out
