Though I was able to achieve the desired result, I'm not sure if I am following the best practices. Any help, criticism or feedback is welcome, I am here to learn!

I managed to get the desired look, but I know my code is messy. So, I'm looking for suggestions regarding how to do it better.

I made it LOOK like it should, but I doubt whether I used best practices or not. Can anyone help regarding that?
