  This was my first time using filter on an image to change the color. I didn't achieve the exact outcome and was wondering if anyone had any good resources for this! Thanks so much for any and all feedback!

  I think you can solve the problem by using the color from the insigts word put it in a div that cover the image and then apply a blending mode propperty in the css (something like "soft-light" should work). You can see here how to use this propperty
