I do not think anything is wrong with the code other than maybe the box shadows, but any feedback is still appreciated!

Hey, very nice solution, everything looks super clean and good.
I agree with you about box-shadows for me it is little too intensive, maybe using les opacity on box-shadow color will be helpful and also make box shadow blur bigger.
Also on profile images try to use src attribute it should fix html validation issues.
