Responsive Stats Preview Card Styled with Tailwind CSS
Design comparison
Solution retrospective
I had a little bit of a tough time figuring out how to apply the coloured overlay to the card image, I managed to figure out a solution but I am not entirely happy still with how it's turned out. Does anybody have a better solution for it?

Hey there! 👋 Here are some suggestions to help improve your code:
-
Unless if your company requires you to use a library , I strongly suggest you stay away from using libraries until you fully grasp the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JS. By using a library, you are robbing yourself from actually learning how to code.
-
This challenges requires the use of two images 🎑 for different breakpoints. The Picture Element will facilitate this.
Here is an example of how it works: EXAMPLE
Syntax:
<picture> <source media="(min-width: )" srcset=""> <img src="" alt=""> </picture>
More Info:
https://www.w3schools.com/html/html_images_picture.asp
https://web.dev/learn/design/picture-element/
- To get the image to look like the FEM example, you are going to want to use the
Mix-Blend-Mode
along with theMultiply
value and include aOpacity
with the value of 0.8.
Code:
img { opacity: 0.8; mix-blend-mode: multiply; }
- The statistics component is a list of statistics, so it should be built using an Unordered List along with a List Items Element.
If you have any questions or need further clarification, feel free to reach out to me.
Happy Coding! 🍂🦃
