Responsive Stats Card

Another amazing challenge from Frontend Mentor. Regarding the project, my troubles were definitely in overlaying a gradient over an image. I did some research and I did it buy using an empty div with a class of gradient and using position absolute for it to be over the image, not sure if I am explaining it well, but if you check my code you can see how I did it. I would love to know a different alternative to add it to my tool box.
