Responsive landing page with CSS grid and flex-box

this one was a normal project that had no hard parts but there is a problem, s.t I rewrite a css style in media queries for an element that has already a style in desktop veiw; Although the style that I rewrite comes after the desktop veiw's style, it needs this code "!important" to work. why is that??
