Really nice solution, well done!
Only one thing needs addressing and that's in html. It's very important for headings to go in order as this is what assistive tech users and search engines use to navigate through a document (Web page). I would make the names of people the headings (either h2 or h3) and not make any of the quote a heading, but if you want to keep those as headings they have to belong to the named person, so they would be either h3 or h4.
You can still style them exactly the same with css, it's just the heading levels themselves that need adjusting.
