Responsive 4 Card challenge using CSS Grid and Flexbox
Design comparison
Solution retrospective
I'm most proud of the learning that was achieved while building my solution. Coming into the project, I was fairly familiar with using and building with Flexbox, but very little experience with implementing CSS Grid. After a bit of study on the subject through suggested documentation, videos, and my own tinkering, I took what I learned and began to implement. One thing I would do differently next time is change my angle of attack on this project. I went with the mobile first approach with this solution, which in the end worked out fine. I took this route because I felt confident in getting the design of the mobile layout completed while still learning grid layouts. Now that I have that knowledge, I would reverse course and begin with the desktop layout first.
What challenges did you encounter, and how did you overcome them?My biggest challenge was the 4 card grid layout on the Desktop design of the project. After spending some time playing around and learning how grid funtions I was able to figure it out.
What specific areas of your project would you like help with?Any and all areas I'm open to suggestions on, as well as any insights and documentation for any semantic HTML, CSS, flexbox, and grid that you may have that you've found beneficial. As always fully open to any constructive criticism that will help me become better at my craft. Thanks for your time, and for looking.
