Hello there 👋. Congratulations on successfully completing the challenge! 🎉

  • I have other recommendations regarding your code that I believe will be of great interest to you.

CSS 🎨:

  • let me explain, How you can easily center the component without using margin or padding.
  • We don't need to use margin and padding to center the component both horizontally & vertically. Because using margin or padding will not dynamical centers our component at all states
  • To properly center the component in the page, you should use Flexbox or Grid layout. You can read more about centering in CSS here 📚.
  • For this demonstration we use css Grid to center the component
body {
    min-height: 100vh;
    display: grid;
    place-items: center;
}
  • Now remove these styles, after removing you can able to see the changes
main {
   margin: 100px 0;
}
  • Now your component has been properly centered

.

I hope you find this helpful 😄 Above all, the solution you submitted is great !

Happy coding!

Hi @MackenanDsouza,

Congratulations on successfully completing the challenge. You did very well.

To get overlay hover properly I think in your CSS could be written :

    .card__img-overlay :hover {
           opacity: 1;
     }

instead of :

    .card-img-wrapper :hover .card__img-overlay {
          opacity: 1;
    }

And set about 50% of its background color :

    .card__img-overlay {
         background-color: hsl(178, 100%, 50%, 0.5);
         border-radius: 0.625rem;
         position: absolute;
     ...

Hope that I am Helpful. Keep happy coding..

Hi!!

I watched this video, and it really helped me out with the overlay hover effect. If you're still having trouble after watching this, I'm willing to explain further how I accomplished the hover effect.

HAPPY CODING!!
