First attempt, and brand new to this. Appreciate some of the code will be messy and inefficient so any help in this regard would be appreciated.

Also struggled with the image active state. Changed the opacity but was unable to change the colour to cyan.

    Hi Tom, you did good. I suggest, you also implement first hover effect properly. When we hover over the image an eye icon appear, right?(eye icon is missing in your project). You can also learn about image overlay here: https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_css_image_overlay.asp
