Hi, Overall good work as a newbie. The responsive view is also good. On my solution, I used and hover effect. I would like to request you please take a look at my solution it may help you to find your issues. Also I used smooth transition on hover effect.

Hi @duckit69,
After remove ::after the background image is also removed thus why its not working. You have to right something when your ::hover effect working
