Interactive rating component with SCSS & BEM

This was a fun challenge before I move on to challenges under the Junior difficulty level. How readable is the code overall?

I think I could have eliminated media queries from my solution entirely if I was more comfortable with using CSS clamp() for font-sizing; is that a correct assessment or is there other ways I could have cut out the media queries while keeping this responsive?
