Congratulations on completing your first Frontend Mentor challenge! 🎉 Good effort on this one! 👏
I suggest adding and positioning the background images in this challenge using CSS background images. It'll keep those images out of your HTML, which will make your markup cleaner, and I think it's a little easier to manage the background images, then (for example, you won't have to worry about them overflowing the page because they'll remain inside their container). If you use viewport units to position the background images, they'll remain in their place when the screen is resized. 🙂
