Drag and Drop, fake JSON Server, Fetch with Async Await, Uglified JS
Design comparison
Solution retrospective
Another first ever experience for me. I looked into all about JSON and API for this project; and eventually decided to use a fake JSON Server to have a better feel of working with them. I also opted to use Fetch with Async Await rather than XHR since it is now supported by most common browsers. In order for the app to be supported by the other browsers, I would need the use of Babel which I tried incorporating but ran into some issues related to browsers support of require()
. I'll need to use RequireJS to make that work but I decided to hold off on Babel and RequireJS for the time being and explore a bit more on it and other options.
To make the project a bit more interesting and interactive, I incorporated a Drag and Drop interface and an Options box when you click on the ellipsis in each category. NOTE: I didn't code any functionality on the Options box. I just wanted to try it out. :)
I really learned a lot doing this project and I hope you enjoy interacting with the app.
Please leave any feedback and/or how to improve my projects as they are always welcome and appreciated! Thank you!
