Country Info Page using NextJS-React-Redux-Redux Thunk-Tailwind-Axios
Design comparison
Solution retrospective
Before this project, I was coding Newbie
and Junior
projects.
19 projects on that level.
I was learning but not feeling good with myself. So I decided to make a jump.
This is ADVANCED level project.
There are many technologies I am using first time in my learning-
- NextJS
- Redux State Management
- Redux-Thunk Middleware
- Axios
As all are vast topic, I would like to explore more on these.
What challenges did you encounter, and how did you overcome them?Lots of challenges being first-time user of many tech.
- I made some project on React so thought moving to
NextJS
would be cake-walk. It was not. Redux
has a steep learning curve. Store, action-creator, reducer, react-redux are too much to grasp at a time. Then I got to know that reducer, action-creator are compacted by slices.- I used API so now I had to learn about side-effects, middleware,
redux-thunk
also. - I was learning that much so thought to include
Axios
also to handle HTTP request. I mean why not. Let them come.
Lots and lots of learning. I was buried deep in the resources, had to pick myself up and start by making proper plan and road map.
What specific areas of your project would you like help with? How to use react-window in grid also maintaining responsivity?
Thanks.
Also, I am NOT Pro user, don't have figma
designs, so dimensions may/may not be up to the mark.
