Design comparison
Solution retrospective
Hi all,
I really enjoyed doing this one. I was expecting it to be really difficult to get my head around all the styling, but felt like it came pretty easy to me. Seems all the previous projects are paying off lol
As always please leave any and all feedback.
Thanks, Nick

Very cool. Matches the design almost 100%. How did you do that ? Whats your technique?
0@NickODxyzPosted over 2 years ago@BikeInMan Couldn't say tbh. Think this is my 16th frontend project now, so I'm going to say I'm just getting better and learning more as I go along :)
0@BikeInManPosted over 2 years ago@NickODxyz "The harder you work, the luckier you get". Something like that, I guess. Or May be, you now have insight into designer's mind. Wonderful. I thought as a pro member you may more details to work with.
0@NickODxyzPosted over 2 years ago@BikeInMan Oh with pro you do get the figma designs to use yes. So they make it somewhat easier for sure.
However that being said, I have noticed there are some figma designs that you can follow 100% to the pixel and your final design will still come out slightly off to the comparison design above lol
And sorry, above I was more referencing how to build a design on a page with the CSS (the knowledge I've gained there from previous projects) rather than knowing the exact padding/margin to use given from the design sheet.
Take a look at Catherine is Online work, she has a really good way to get designs bang on without having a pro membership
0@BikeInManPosted over 2 years ago@NickODxyz I am following Catherine too. And yes, she seems to have mastered the technique of developing near copy of design.
I too tried to get close to design, but for me, it is way too much time consuming, which delays the actual things I want to learn. So, as a newbie to frontend development, I am sticking to "good enough" and not going for a perfect copy. There is so much to learn in CSS for me yet.
Good Luck with your 17th project and have a nice week.
