Solution retrospective
I’m proud of delivering a functional, visually appealing, and responsive project within the timeline, using clean SCSS for modular styling and JavaScript for interactivity. Overcoming layout challenges and adapting quickly to feedback were significant achievements.
Next time, I would dedicate more time to cross-browser testing and improving documentation from the start to streamline collaboration. Gathering user feedback earlier in the design phase would help refine usability, and I’d explore modern frameworks like React or Vue.js to enhance scalability and code reusability.
What challenges did you encounter, and how did you overcome them? One of the main challenges I encountered was debugging layout inconsistencies, especially across different screen sizes and browsers. I overcame this by using browser developer tools extensively, ensuring my CSS adhered to best practices, and leveraging SCSS mixins for consistency.
Another challenge was managing the complexity of interactive elements. To address this, I broke the functionality into smaller, manageable components and tested each part thoroughly before integrating them into the main application.
Finally, staying on schedule was difficult at times, but by prioritizing tasks and maintaining a clear plan, I managed to deliver the project on time while ensuring quality.
