Hey @Equiz98, great job on this project!
Some suggestions to improve you code:
-
You want to move your
background-color
to your <body> element so it takes up the entire screen. -
To make you content accessible to your users, it is a best to use rem/em instead of px for your CSS property values. For media queries, I definitely suggest using em for them. By using px your assuming that every users browser (mobile, tablet, laptop/desktop) is using a font size of 16px (this is the default size on browser). Em's will help with users whose default isn't 16px, which can sometimes cause the your content to overflow and negatively affect your layout.

Hi Carlos Equiz, how are you?
I really liked the result of your project, but I have some tips that I think you will like:
1- Every page should have one main landmark
<main>
. So replace the div that wraps the whole content with<main>
to improve the accessibility. click here2- All page content should be contained by landmarks, you can understand better by clicking here: click here
We have to make sure that all content is contained in a reference region, designated with HTML5 reference elements or ARIA reference regions.
Example:
native HTML5 reference elements:
<body> <header>This is the header</header> <nav>This is the nav</nav> <main>This is the main</main> <footer>This is the footer</footer> </body>
ARIA best practices call for using native HTML5 reference elements instead of ARIA functions whenever possible, but the markup in the following example works:
<body> <div role="banner">This is the header</div> <div role="navigation">This is the nav</div> <div role="main">This is the main</div> <div role="contentinfo">This is the footer</div> </body>
It is a best practice to contain all content, except skip links, in distinct regions such as header, navigation, main, and footer.

2- Why it Matters
Navigating the web page is far simpler for screen reader users if all of the content splits between one or more high-level sections. Content outside of these sections is difficult to find, and its purpose may be unclear.
HTML has historically lacked some key semantic markers, such as the ability to designate sections of the page as the header, navigation, main content, and footer. Using both HTML5 elements and ARIA landmarks in the same element is considered a best practice, but the future will favor HTML regions as browser support increases.
Rule Description
It is a best practice to ensure that there is only one main landmark to navigate to the primary content of the page and that if the page contains iframe elements, each should either contain no landmarks, or just a single landmark.

Prefer to use
rem
overpx
to have your page working better across browsers and resizing the elements properlyThe rest is great!!
Hope it helps...👍

👾Hi @Equiz98, congratulations on your solution!👋 Welcome to the Frontend Mentor Coding Community!
Great solution and a great start! From what I saw you’re on the right track. I’ve few suggestions for you that you can consider adding to your code:
1.You've done the design for the wrong image, when you download the starter files the folder comes with 3 files (preview card, desktop and mobile) you've created the solution based on the
preview
and you should consider only themobile + desktop images
.Remove thebackground-color
from the container and add it to thebody
to make sure this color background will display it full screen.2.Add the website favicon inserting the svg image inside the
<head>
.<link rel="icon" type="image/x-icon" href="./images/favicon-32x32.png">
3.Add the
alt text
to improve accessibility.The alt attribute provides alternative information for an image if a user for some reason cannot view it (because of a slow connection, an error in the src attribute, or if the user uses a screen reader). ---><img src="./images/image-qr-code.png" alt="QR Code Frontend Mentor">
4.To maintain the card responsive use
max-width
instead ofwidth
this way you allow the content to be flexible. The difference betweenmax-width
andwidth
is thatwidth
is fixed andmax-width
has a maximum size but can shrink to fit the content.5.Replace the
<p>
containing the main title with<h1>
note that this title is the main heading for this page and every page needs one h1 to show which is the most important heading. Use the sequence h1 h2 h3 h4 h5 to show the hierarchy of your titles in the level of importance, never jump a level.6.The image is not responsive yet, a quick way to make any image responsive and respecting the container size is to add
display: block
andmax-width: 100%
to the<img>
selector. To improve the responsiveness even more adding the auto-crop property you can addobject-fit: cover
to make the image crop inside the container its inside.img { display: block; object-fit: cover; max-width: 100%; }
Here's my solution for this challenge if you wants to see how I build it: https://www.frontendmentor.io/solutions/qr-code-component-vanilla-cs-js-darklight-mode-nS2aOYYsJR
✌️ I hope this helps you and happy coding!

Hello Carlos Equiz, very good work. It's a great start, the final result was very similar to the design given.
Surely you are going to refresh your knowledge, participating in this community is the best way.
About the solution: -The first thing you see in the comparison is that the card sizes are different.
- you also forgot to add the shadow, which is very subtle.
- to make it look more like it, you should have set the background color to the body.
- for styles, it is recommended to use classes and not the Html tags directly.
- you should have improved the Html structure, using a "main", "section", "article", etc.
But in general I liked it a lot, to continue working because the other challenges are more difficult. Greetings.
