API Proxy & Frontend Integration with Authentication & UI Updates
Design comparison
Solution retrospective
Successfully debugging API authentication issues, ensuring secure script access, and making the frontend update dynamically without breaking the setup.
Plan a more structured debugging process to avoid going in circles, implement better logging from the start, and optimize API key handling earlier to prevent deployment headaches
What challenges did you encounter, and how did you overcome them?API key not forwarding correctly, causing 403 Forbidden errors and breaking the quantity update. Debugged request headers, ensured the frontend sent the key, and verified API proxy was forwarding it properly.
"Add to Cart" message wasn't appearing consistently. Ensured event listeners were properly attached
What specific areas of your project would you like help with?Any insights or recommendations would be appreciated!
