Vi aqui que você está tentando usar o Github Pages, meu conselho é que você use ou Vercel.com ou Netlify.com pq Github Pages é chatao de configurar... O tempo que vc vai perder tentando usar isso, vc economiza conectando sua conta do Github no Vercel.com e importando o repositório e fazendo o deploy, papo de 5min vc ta com o site da solução on.

Falo isso pq perdi várias horas tentando entender o Github Pages e desisti, vai de Vercel q é sucesso
